Kenjutsu Demostration

Totally forgot to mention this. The reason why I went to Devonian Garden is because my friend want to see the Kenjutsu Demostration because there was Japanese Festival.

These martial art demostrators are fast and I love the way they swing and strike with their sword (they actually used wooden stick for demostration, in case of injury).

Too bad, I spend most of my time looking though my Nikon D70s view finder and were busyly taking shots, I couldn't enjoy those special "moment" though my eyes.

Talking about "the moment", as I was chatting with my development team during lunch break on last Friday, we were talking why we should or should not take picture. My lead doesn't like to take picture because he can't really enjoy the moment. I argued that taking a picture is the best way to share it. He argued that he rather kept his moment privately in his head. When it is "his moment", he would tell others to close their eyes, so that he can kept his moment privately! Posted by Picasa

Devonian Garden

Recently, I went to Devonian Garden just about 45min drive South West of Edmonton. I had been there last year Augest and I still remembered all the nice flowers that I saw in this this very special garden.

I went up to the entrance of the Garden, and I saw a small print on the fee sign: "Free of University of Alberta Student". As I recall, student price last year is $6.50 while regular price is $10.00. If you have CAA membership card, you get $1.5 off. But this time it is free!!! Dan*, I left my student ID in my badminton racquet bag :( ! oh well, I am not a student anyway, but it was very temping for me to sneak in the garden from the entrance's exit. Posted by Picasa
